Dancing has always been an integral part of Irish life, from traditional Irish folk dances to vigorous jigs.

Approximately 4,800 survey participants were asked how many hours of vigorous exercise they do each week, including activities like running, fast cycling or competitive sports. Researchers concluded that at least 2.5 hours of vigorous exercise a week could reduce the chance of having a flu-like illness. That translates to nearly 100 cases of flu per 1,000 people prevented with exercise , according to the BBC. “Although many people have dodged the flu bullet this winter, flu can occur at any time, so taking advantage of the better weather is a great opportunity to get out and get fit to ward off flu this spring,” Dr. Alma Adler, of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, told the BBC.
